Anybody who has battled alcoholism knew that Bob Ryan was losing the battle when he said he'll never take another drink, ever. And I said that his arrogant battle to remain Mayor illustrated he hadn't truly confronted the demon he's dealing with. If for no other reason than that voters did the right thing in turning him out in a recall. And I feared that it was a matter of when, not if Bob Ryan would fall to alcohol in a public way again. 

This arrest comes about two weeks after he plead no contest to reduced charges of disorderly conduct after he was accused of grabbing a woman's breasts while on a drunken lost weekend in Elkhart Lake. I fear Ryan's going to have to really bottom out before he can bounce back.
