Interesting how the parents were surprised by the reaction to this; they thought people would be disgusted by a picture of a C-section in progress. The miracle of life will always be a winner with people. But beyond that this picture does something else. For all of those who've bought into the myth that a baby isn't a baby until it slides through the birth canal this picture must be jarring.

If you believe a baby is a "clump of tissue" until it passes through vagina this picture shatters your world. If you already knew better, it simply puts a lump in your throat and maybe a tear in your eye.
