Yes, I'm going to bring race into this. One of a group of black man violently sucker punched a white man. The victim drops as though he had been shot. Imagine the media coverage if this victim had been been black and the hitter white. And how is this not a hate crime as it has been defined by law?

Unless we learn that this punk knows the victim and some motive is discerned, all he really knew about him at that moment was that he was white. Maybe he knew he was a teacher. But when you throw in the mocking of the victim by the rest of the group, I ask again, how is this not a hate crime?
