President Obama's lead over Mitt Romney in Wisconsin is 11 points according to the latest Marquette University Law School Poll, down from 14 in the last poll, but still a comfortable lead. The U.S. Senate race as tightened considerably, with Tammy Baldwin now leading Tommy Thompson 48 to 44 percent. Baldwin had a 9 point lead in the last poll, which was a complete reversal from August.
Baldwin built the September lead by spending big on advertising while Thompson was nearly invisible. He and third party groups have since fired back and that might be the difference here.
