My money is on liberals. Yeah, I could see conservatives starting this to prove a point. But liberal anti-gun drones are pretty much a Defcon 1 after Sandy Hook and now see high capacity magazines as the root of all evil. That said, Gregory probabaly did break the law in the very technical sense. While reasonable people can disagree on whether 30 round magazines should be legal, the fixation on them after the most recent random mass shooting is a ruse.

The left knows this won't stop mass shootings. And once clamping down on magazine capacity they'll move to another layer of gun control, and then another, and another...
