It kills me when successful blacks such as her play the "we're still oppressed card." Well, you managed to do okay. Yes, blacks were being deprived their God-given rights and the U.S. government fought a war which ended that travesty. But both she and Matthews seem to be arguing that little has changed for blacks since that war and government must continue today to make sure blacks aren't deprived still to this day.
Not all rich people are white and not all white people are rich. The only thing that holds back people of color today are people like her who try to convince them that they are being held back by "the man" and cannnot succeed without liberal help.
