A pretty compelling story in the Sheboygan Press on the Sheboygan County mosque controversy. I don't think pointing out that mosques have been breeding grounds for terrorism is irrational. However, I think this quote from the story sums up my opinion on this very well:

The Rev. Les Kuiper, senior pastor of First Christian Reformed Church in Oostburg, said he welcomes the mosque.

"They are more than welcome in our community," Kuiper said. "Our Constitution guarantees freedom of religion. 

"Until they prove they are not worthy of that protection, I would say they are welcome," Kuiper said. "Not all the comments of the people of the Oostburg community are necessarily a good reflection on the Christian faith."

I would add this...a pastor I spoke with this week in the Green Bay area agreed that blocking this mosque will violate their constitutional rights. But he also pointed out that anybody can walk into his church anytime and see what goes on there. If the Sheboygan County Muslim community wants to avoid suspicion, the same openess would go a long way.
