Maybe I just don't want to get my hopes dashed, but I'm going to say no. Pieces like this one get you excited as a conservative well beyond next Tuesday and into November. But I simply cannot imagine a Republican taking this seat. I know Brown is making a point of saying it's not "the Kennedy seat." But yes it is. It has been for most of the last 58 years. This has the Green Bay/ Arizona feel to me; we'll come so close...and then fall short. The good news here is close does count in this race. A narrow victory for Coakley in what should be a 20 point win will be a seismic event for the dems. That they have to fight this hard for this seat already has them scrambling.

Now, if Brown does pull this off it'll be one of the greatest political upsets ever. I just can't bring myself to believe it. But if it happens, boy is this going to be an interesting year!
