I still think it's about a 50/50 chance as to whether he will or won't One thing is clear; Thompson represents the best chance of ending Feingold's career now. If Feingold survivees in what is likely to be a tough, tough, year for democrats, he may very well be in for life. Feingold turned 57 in March. In 12 years he'll be 69. That means he could have two, maybe even three terms left. I believe it's now or never to end his Senate career, and I believe it's up to Tommy Thompson.

Even if Thompson serves only one term, Feingold is gone. Tommy's decision is bigger than most people think. I hope he's not taking it as lightly as it sometimes appears that he is.
