Hum, they stick to their guns and say a 16 day hunt is needed to control the deer herd, as hunters insist the herd is nearly depleted and such aggressive management techniques aren't needed. A top lawmaker calls for the herd management team to be replaced, and suddenly, they have to slow down and think about this. It's good news for hunters. It's also telling. They'd rather not have anybody poking around the flawed methodology of their management techniques. This really is Wisconsin's min-version of climate gate.
