Okie dokie parents... I have another question. My son is 11. He has, in the past, earned an allowance. Whether it was because of lean times or by his own choice, he currently goes without an allowance. However, he's been pumping the primer with his Mom and me to give him an allowance. I'm an admitted cheapskate. To me-- $2 a week is good for an 11 year-old. I've been trying to to talk with him about snow shoveling and mowing in the neighborhood to make the bigger bucks. But, if he wants to handle chores around the house--I'd spotted him a couple of dollars per week. Too stingy?
